What Type of Hanger Will Suit Your Home Best?

Hangers are by far most under-appreciated elements in our closet; after all they do so much more than we give them credit for. Good hangers hold our clothes and accessories up, keep them in good shape, well ironed, help save space in our closet, and keep it beautifully organized. They also poke up from under our clothes, and have the potential to add style and elegance to our closet. For those who value space and appreciate taste, it is only sensible to pay attention to the hangers we use, and choose carefully.

In terms of functionality, good hangers should be able to grip on to even the most slippery of your clothes, and keep them from falling into a heap at the bottom of the closet. So always go for hangers with extra grip, especially clothes hangers. Hangers are meant not just to hang up single garments, but as an organizational aid. So hangers with multi-tiered slots to hang multiple accessories may be a great idea if you like to keep your closet sorted and make the most of the space you have.

Everyone in the family uses hangers, but that doesn’t mean everyone in the family should use the same hangers! After all, not all clothes are the same, and not all wearers are the same either. While you may prefer elegant wooden hangers for your closet, children may be slightly keener on some bright color in theirs. You can get special children’s hangers in bright colors and designed for children’s sizes and with extra grip to keep those clothes off the floor.

One simple way to keep the closet looking tidy is to use uniform matching hangers, but it also makes sense to use the appropriate hangers for your clothes. For instance, you could use wooden hangers for your everyday clothes, including tops, tailored shirts; clip hangers for your pants and other bottoms including skirts; and perhaps sturdier and much stronger chrome hangers for heavy duty coats and jackets.

This way you can keep clothes hanging up, and in their proper shape. Clip hangers can prevent your pants or skirts from getting unnecessary creases, and chrome hangers can be strong enough to support far heavier clothes. Wooden hangers can add that elegant boutique look to your closet, and make it more welcoming.

Even though hangers are barely seen in your closet, they can add a surprising lot to the space in terms of style and aesthetics. So apart from playing a huge part in keeping your closet organized and tidy, nice hangers also simply look nice! A closet with odd hangers, that are not designed for their job can not only make your closet look shabby, but waste the space in your closet and maybe even ruin your clothes. A closet with well-designed, matching and good quality hangers can make all the difference!
